Ghanaian tactician Prince Yaw Owusu has stepped down from his role as the interim head coach of Asante Kotoko.

According to an official statement from the Kumasi-based club, the gaffer has officially submitted his resignation letter, stating that his decision is in the best interest of the club.

Prince Owusu was appointed interim head coach of Kotoko on February 9, 2026, after the club parted ways with former coach Abdul Karim Zito. Unfortunately, the results under the coach have been below expectations, leading to calls for his sacking.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies head coach William Afoakwa has played down the drama of his side's 2-1 comeback victory over Hasaacas Ladies in the Women's Premier League final, insisting the result was no surprise to him.
